im mexican and I love Crayon pop, but i hate CD9 🙁

  • apieth

Man~ Crayon Pop sing in english or english-mexico? So cool. I never imagined this would be real and good like this. I liked the song

    • CP Ranger

      It is very ‘pop’ sounding.

  • ezekiel

LOL… CP was just on the screen… hahaha..

    • CP Ranger

      And in our hearts. 😀

    • ?

so they wont be singing on the official release? maybe just appear on the mv dancing ..

      • ezekiel

we don’t know for sure though.. but i think they’ll just appear as cameo(in the recorded video, just like this one) for the concert.. not more, because they need to focus on their comeback..

      • CP Ranger

They are singing. Crayon Pop sing parts of the verses and then they sing the chorus with CD9. It’s hard to tell with the vidoes and because autotune is used so much so we don’t hear their natural voices.
One of the Crayon Pop lyrics goes something like:
“Choa?: We don’t need no gasoline and we don’t need a lighter
From Seoul to Mexico we’ll set the world on fire.
Soyul?: And when we hit the stage
(take a look, get out of the way?)
watch out cause here we go-oh-oh”

        • ezekiel

wow.. how can you catch on the lyric from that poor audio!? you have a pair of great ears there… ^^

          • CP Ranger

It’s called headphones, high volume and going deaf from a bunch of screaming fan girls. 😀

          • apieth

            You’ve worked hard

        • apieth

You have a great ears, wanna be a video timer? 😜

          • CP Ranger

kekeke… I may be a responsible person, but that doesn’t mean I want responsibility. :p

          • Way Home

I was thinkin about it too

        • Wojcik117

Good job but I’d say Ellin, not Choa

        • robertrickett

Thanks, I’m looking forward this. Collaborations introduce Crayon Pop to new audiences, ISo far, Crayon Pop has had collaborations with DT boys in China; Robin for the diary project; Kim Jang Hoon for Firefighter Charity; Rainbow Bridge;Yang Jung Mo; Lady Gaga; Ylvis; DC9 and Youkai. They’ve also done several OST’s. Sometimes, collaborations can be scary for fans, but I’ve learned to trust CP’s charms to win hearts where ever they go.

        • Giang Nguyễn Hoàng

i can totally hear it now ^^ thanks for pointing out.

        • Brandon Lim

The first female verse sounds more like Way to me

  • h4iumb1

So now I have to watch videos of guys with bad haircuts to see Crayon Pop? 😆

    • CP Ranger

No… WE all have to watch videos of guys with bad haircuts to see Crayon Pop. Misery loves company… hahaha 😀

  • ?

Am I right in saying most of the dislikes are cp fans from Mexico but they dislike this boy group from their country

    • CP Ranger

Well, the Crayon Pop twitter deleted the tweet about the CD9 collaboration. Maybe because there were so many (Spanish language) comments disappointed with the collaboration. I’m guessing CD9 are ‘regular pop’ and Crayon Pop are ‘quirky pop’ so some fans were worried Crayon Pop would lose some of their uniqueness. I think.
But, this is Crayon Pop so they’ll try their best to turn all those frowns upside down! From this 🙁 to this ):
      I mean, to this! 🙂

      • Giang Nguyễn Hoàng

I wish they reveal more information about the collaboration. Just one tweet make people confuse and dont get the whole ideal

    • Jessica Guzmán

As a mexican Crayon pop fan I can say Kpop fans are the ones who are hating the collaboration.

      • robertrickett

It was the same when Lady Gaga Announced Crayon Pop to Open for her tour. Kpop fans were angry because it wasn’t Girls Generation or the commenters favorite group and the comments were hurtful and vicious. There’s nothing worst than jealous haters, but the only ones they impress are other jealous haters.

  • CP Ranger

    K-pop + M-pop = pop²
Which means: Pop! Pop! Crayon Pop!
    😀

  • Dancing Queen

How can they have a collaborate ? I mean Mexico is really far away from SK.
    Crayonpop always make me suprised.

  • The agencies must measure correctly the ‘gain & loss’ on this collaboration works. Let me remind, if allowed, about collaboration between T-ara and Chris Brown… A TRAGEDY! Backing to Crayon Pop. In 2014, CP collaborated with Lady Gaga making opening for shows, during her tour on USA. I really loved the fact of american fans had the opportunity to see CP on stage… While Gaga, I prefer to say nothing about (…regurgitations…).

If that were the case, under my administration Crayon Pop girls would never do “opening show” or “collaboration” with others names from music market when the concept/style does not matching. And, for me, the profile of other artists off the stage is more important then on the stage. It’s my vision over this stuff. Please do not confuse this with “purism”, it’s too diferent. I noted that sometimes agencies are naive or too unsafe.

I have my own beliefs about Crayon Pop, the brand needs to diversify into various other segments. I have said it here before and I will repeat: create show, movie, comic books, reality show, and many other small jobs always under the title Crayon Pop.

Diversifying is the key, do not get “stuck” just recording music and music videos then waiting for the rest happen.

    • Dancing Queen

One of the most important things making CP success is their naivete and unsafety. Unfortunately, those also brought down them .
The manner you said above are what other idol companies really did.
BTW, I still don’t know how CP can collaborate with a Mexico group. Chrome agency was unexpected .

      • Methawee

I think because CP&CD9 under sony music.

        • Maybe. Good point.

        • a

When they were in Australia they performed with justice crew on tv and also had a meeting with dami Im….all Sony artists

      • I meant to say the companies/agencies of Kpop itself create all this extra content (series, movie, comic books, reality show, etc.) beyond music and musicvideo. The point is: do not depend only of television stations to call the groups for casting a show on TV. 🙂

    • NeonMoon

Any activities, esp…internationally showing their versatility, is a good lead in for their comeback…keeps them visible n peaking until then…Way’s marketing wiz???lol

    • dukpoki

yeah i remember T-ara N4 and Chris Brown thing. That pissed me off so much. Gotta be careful. With the influx of comments from a lot of unhappy Mexican folks over the collab so far (it seems like CD9 is Bieber/1 Direction-ish teeny bopper hated over there) i’m not sure this is/was such a great idea. Only time will tell i suppose.

  • despite of strange thing (deleted tweet), this song pretty dope folks!
    let’s get drunk everybody…
    oh, get dumb…

  • Way Home

    It is Awesome! Really Liked!

  • Jair__castillo

don’t like CD9, but this song is great, Crayon pop show us other style and it is great collaboration! 😀 Crayon pop never disappoints me

  • CP Hwaiting

    this song is really good!!

  • ezekiel

i don’t know why so many salty kpop fans that unhappy about this collaboration.. but face it this is a great song…LOL..

    • Giang Nguyễn Hoàng

Maybe CD9 are one direction group type, so they have a lot of haters?

      • ezekiel

        maybe.. ..^^

      • Jessica Guzmán

        Their haters are kpop fans

    • apieth

I also not agree with this k-mex collaborationever. But turns out the song is much better than I expected.
Well, it’s Crayon Pop. No more doubt

    • ?

Saw a few down votes when they watched the live version..but the official audio version ..seems mostly positive

    • dukpoki

judging from a lot of the various comments i’m reading, i get the vibe that CD9 isn’t very well respected in Mexico. I guess they are like Bieber, Cyrus, 1 Direction, etc. Teeny bopper stuff. People look at them and go eww, or what a joke. This is my opinion from what i gather although i could be wrong. I just really hope this collaboration doesn’t hurt our girls in any way.

  • h4iumb1

😊👷 background dancer wear helmets 👷😊

  • duc

    Number2 on the charts?

    • Giang Nguyễn Hoàng

on the first day, it reach number 2 on Itunes Mexico

      • duc

thats great news.. been reading some comments today saying the report is false when they check the charts today its in a lower position ..
more exposure for them is a positive in my view

        • ezekiel

so many salty kpop fans on netizenbuzz.. LOL.. the fact that it’s reach no 2 on the charts even for a short time is still a great achievement, considering that they don’t made mv for this song, and they don’t promote it actively..

  • Jair__castillo

I have heard the song too many times, I think my fellow Mexicans did good work, I will support henceforth XD

  • lainIwakura

am i the only one to not like it ?

  • Get Smart

CD9 is dragging Crayon Pop into the gutter. “Shake your money maker?” That’s a filthy lyric by a filthy group. It’s not cute. It’s not kawaii. It’s not Crayon Pop.
